What it is Like to Volunteer
At Catholic Charities, volunteers participate in miracles every single day — from serving at a food distributions to building bridges toward citizenship to helping improve a child's growth through storytelling, engagement activities, and joyful events. We are always seeking individual volunteers for a variety of areas of need, and also welcome groups and families for one-day service projects. Catholic Charities is a welcoming agency that brings together volunteers from diverse backgrounds. Our shared purpose is to make a positive impact in our community.

Catholic Charities of Northwest California offers volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups, including families, corporate teams, and larger organizations. No matter the size, everyone can get involved and make a meaningful impact in our community.
Current Volunteer Needs

Caring Rides Drivers for Seniors
- Driving Seniors 60 and older who are living in Santa Rosa to appointments within Santa Rosa
- Rides are flexible and volunteers pick what ride works best with their schedule
- Required: Client Facing Volunteer packet which includes Application, Guidelines, Liability, Photo Release, Volunteer Driver Agreement, and Fingerprint/background check
- Volunteer drivers need to provide current driving record, Driver’s license, car registration, and insurance requirements.
- For this opportunity there will be an extra mandated training that needs to take place in order to volunteer with seniors.
